Pence Construction Inc. commenced business with humble beginnings and three employees. The main concentration of work has always been exclusively on commercial projects. Incorporated in September of 1989 Pence Construction has since grown steadily. Based out of Southern California, projects have expanded to include Northern California territories also. Pence Construction has completed projects for Fortune 500 companies as well as remodels and tenant improvements for local businesses. Projects range from 1000 square feet to over 100,000 square feet.
The firm is led by owner and CEO Rick Pence. He is involved in every project. This “hands on” approach allows attention to detail, budget and building long lasting relationships. Rick is the third generation of commercial/industrial contractors. Growing up in this environment has provided the blueprint he follows in business which starts and finishes with your reputation.
Rick requires that his staff provide every client the fullest of attention, deliver a fair price, insists on safety and emphasizes “to finish every project as enthusiastic as you start them.” If you do this our reputation and repeat work will continue allowing us to remain a leader in the industry.

Rick Pence
President
Rick started in the construction industry in 1977 as a third generation builder. He began as a field laborer, worked into a project manager. Soon he found himself in the office where he began to understand the other side of the business. He began implementing cost reports and financial analysis which allow him to understand every aspect of a construction business. Rick started Pence Construction in 1989. His focus in the industry has always been in commercial projects.
Rick’s day to day efforts are concentrated in personally overseeing each project. He maintains contact with every client from the bidding state to the final inspection
